About the Studio

Meltzer Studio is a space for creative contemporary design. Meltzer Studio's lighting fixtures are based on a combination of traditional ceramic materials such as porcelain and stoneware, and advanced technology – 3D printing. This combination creates the magic.
At the studio, we work with natural ceramic materials – porcelain and stoneware – known for their durability, aesthetic qualities, and historical connection to the world of art and design. Alongside this, we use dedicated 3D printers for clay, which allow us to design complex shapes with a level of precision that was not previously possible. This combination of traditional material and advanced technology creates our unique magic: a product that is both contemporary and timeless.
Meltzer Studio aims to create local and international design with added value – one that brings sustainability, natural materiality, technological innovation, and an emphasis on beauty and harmony.

3d ceramic printing
Each lighting fixture is born from a multi-stage process – from precise digital planning on the computer, through layer-by-layer 3D printing of the clay, and finally to manual finishing, drying, glazing, and high-temperature firing in a kiln. After that, we integrate high-quality electrical lighting components, so that each lamp is suitable for creating a special atmosphere in the space.
Our work is carried out with attention to the smallest details and with the belief that good design is also measured by the feeling it evokes. The result is unique lighting fixtures that succeed in illuminating the space, but also in telling a personal story of material, process, and creation.

Jonathan Meltzer
Jonathan Meltzer found a way to combine his analytical mind with his hands and materials. For 15 years he worked in the financial world – at the Ministry of Finance and at Discount Bank – but at the same time he was always involved in creation: clay, wood, metal, sewing, and anything that could be taken apart and rebuilt. Creation was in the background as a hobby, until the moment came to make it the center.
In the summer of 2024, he opened Studio Melzer, bringing with him tools from different worlds: precision, understanding of complex systems, and infinite patience for details. In the studio, he develops 3D-printed ceramic lighting fixtures – a combination of natural material with advanced technology. Each lighting fixture is not just a useful object, but an object that has presence, a balance between innovation and earthiness, and a direct expression of the personal path he has taken.
