How are Melzer Studio light fixtures made?
Every Melzer Studio light fixture is created using 3D clay printing. We print each shade layer by layer, producing complex sculptural textures impossible to achieve any other way.
What materials are the fixtures made from?
Our fixtures are made from natural ceramic materials - porcelain and stoneware - 3D printed and kiln-fired at high temperature.
Installation & electrics
How is the fixture installed?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified, licensed electrician. Full instructions on our Installation page.
How much does installation cost?
Installation cost depends on the electrician you choose and is not included in the product price. We recommend getting a quote from a licensed electrician in your area.
Which bulb do I need?
Bulb type varies by model — G9 LED, E27, or E26. The exact type is listed on each product page. We recommend warm white LED bulbs.
What is the cable length?
Standard 1.5 m (59"). Longer cables available at additional cost.
Do the fixtures meet electrical safety standards?
The lighting fixtures are manufactured and assembled in accordance with the applicable Israeli Standards (SI) requirements. All electrical components used in the fixtures comply with approved standards, including Israeli Standards, CE requirements, and other recognized international standards.

How do I clean a ceramic fixture?

Are the fixtures fragile? How durable are they?
The fixtures are made of ceramic - handle them gently when unpacking and during installation. Once properly installed, they are stable and durable.
