The Karoo is a 3D-printed ceramic pendant light of deliberate restraint - a minimalist form with an unmistakably considered character. An open aperture at the base allows light to spill downward for optimal distribution, while the clean silhouette reads as a sculptural design object in its own right. In Terracotta, the Karoo becomes a soft terracotta pendant lamp - warm-toned and quietly expressive.
Every Melzer Studio light fixture is individually hand-finished and studio-made using 3D clay printing - a proprietary additive manufacturing process in porcelain and stoneware. Ceramic lighting brings a warm, natural texture to any interior, and each piece carries the subtle individuality of the hand-finishing and kiln-firing process.
Versatile above a dining table, kitchen island, or side table. Works as a single piece or in a composed cluster of 3 or 4 shades.
