When talking about interior design and lighting, we often focus on shape or color. But the truth is that the material the lampshade is made of is what will define the feeling, the atmosphere.
I use several materials to make the lampshades:
-
Earthenware: reddish-brown, natural, less durable – reminds us of the simplicity of the ancient raw material.
-
Stoneware: Gray-white, strong and durable, allows for lighting fixtures that will last for years and blend into modern design.
-
Porcelain: Transparent, luxurious and refined white – when the light passes through it, a soft and special atmosphere is created.
The choice of material is not just a technical decision – it is part of the design experience and the light that will spread through the space. The use of earth and light adds warmth and stability, and in general, the use of natural materials within the space is highly recommended!!
